An odyssey
It occured to me in 2004, that my work in corporate change, communications and engagement and learning would be if it were channelled into community. and in service of wellbeing and positive change.
This marked the beginning of a journey of exploration and experimentation with my work in communities, and with my fusing of change, communications, engagement, marketing, design, innovation and learning and development, with arts, crafts, and architecture, all infused with a growing depth of sensitivity and awareness of evolutionary human development; t he fuller dimensions and ranges of what it means to be human.
This quest took me to many places in the UK, Europe, India, Malaysia, Siingapore, Indonesia, Mexico and the US; so many fascinating insights into worlds within worlds; communities within society; working with change-makers, community members, community groups, charities, social enterprises, wellbeing enterprises, urban designers, architects, city planners, placemakers, councils, businesses, leaders and in schools and education.
My quest for creating wellbeing and positive change, led me through a process of deinstutionalisation co-inciding with a process of recovery and regneration from burnout; the toxic urban society and work cultures had taken it's toll; returning my humbly to community life, a reconnection to my roots; re-finding myself in, and as nature; and in 2012, a re-discovery of love as the essential element of life.
All of this, with the underlying current of a search for dharma. For the experience of such deep alignment; a movement with a slip-stream of source; doing that which love leads me to do.
That brings me to now. The journey continues - and this part, this time, is what is was all in preparation for.
